PSAL Playoffs 2017 - Elite 8

The Elite 8 of the PSAL Playoffs continue tomorrow. 3 out of the 4 Queens teams that were in the 2nd Round of the Playoffs won to advance to the Elite 8. Take a look at who’s left and where they are playing. Note the Elite 8 will be split among 2 locations – Baruch College and Hunter College.

11AM @ Baruch College

QHST defeated Boys & Girls 64-61 in Round 2 of the PSAL Playoffs behind 23 points and 12 rebounds from Chris Kelly while Jamie Nurse chipped in with 14 points. Curtis defeated BK Collegiate 85-55 behind a trifecta of 20 point scorers in Malik Martin (23 pts and 14 rebound), Samuel Majekodunmi (23 pts) and Ransford Agyeman Budu (20 pts and 8 rebounds).

1PM @ Baruch College

Springfield defeated Eagle Academy 62-57 to advance to PSAL’s Elite 8, while Lincoln defeated James Monroe 74-47 in their 2nd round matchup behind 32 points and 5 assists from Donald Flores.

(3)Bowne vs (11)Jefferon
11AM @ Hunter College

Bowne defeated Robeson 70-57 in the second round of the PSAL Playoffs led by Christian Hinckson with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Alejandro Vasquez had 20 points with 5 rebound and Kareem Reid had 6 Ppoints with 11 rebounds and 5 blocks to round out the Wildcats’ BIG 3. Jefferson advanced to the Elite 8 by defeating WHEELS 80-74.

South Shore (BK) 67 HS for Construction 55

Femi Odukale scored 26 points and Isaiah Richards had 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Vikings past the Red Hawks in PSAL’s 2nd Round. Jasiah Wright had 24 points wirth 4 assist for Construction, while Cai El Smith had 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Ezra Burnett chipped in with 11 points.
